Hi everyone! I’m Alisha.
Welcome to Conversational Phrases!
We’ve found that the best way to learn a language is to speak it from day one! And the best way to start speaking is to learn phrases that you’ll use in real conversations.
In this lesson, you’ll learn conversational phrases to answer the question, "What are you doing during the holiday?" After watching this video, you’ll be able to talk about your holiday plans.
Now, let’s take a look at some conversational phrases!
Listen to the dialogue.
Ce o să faci de Paști?
Intenționez să merg la plajă.
Once more with the English translation.
Ce o să faci de Paști?
“What are you doing for Easter?”
Intenționez să merg la plajă.
“I'm planning to go to the beach.”
First of all you'll need to learn how to say “How's your mother?”
That's: Ce o să faci de Paști?
Listen to it again: Ce o să faci de Paști?, Ce o să faci de Paști?
This Romanian sentence literally translates as “What will you do for Easter? ” But it means “What are you doing for Easter?”
Now, how do you answer this question?
The pattern is:
Intenționez să [plan].
“I’m planning to [plan].”
For example:
“I'm planning to go to the beach.”
Intenționez să merg la plajă., Intenționez să merg la plajă.
